The results of the Gujarat assembly elections are out. This time the Bharatiya Janata Party has created a new record. In Gujarat, which has 182 assembly seats, 156 BJP candidates won the elections. The Congress suffered the most. The Congress came straight down to 17 from 77 seats. Means Congress had to bear the loss of 60 seats. In Bansda assembly constituency of Navsari district, Congress has fielded Anantkumar Hasmukhbhai Patel against BJP’s Piyushkumar Kantilal Patel. Talking about the result of this election, here Congress’s Anantkumar Hasmukhbhai Patel defeated BJP’s Piyushkumar Kantilal Patel by 35,033 votes. Congress candidate got 1,24,477 votes while BJP got 89,444 votes here.
AAP candidate’s deposit forfeited
Pankajbhai Patel was in the fray from the Aam Aadmi Party. Pankajbhai could not even save his bail. He had to satisfy with just 16,178 votes. A total of five candidates were in the fray for this seat. The deposits of three candidates including Pankajbhai were forfeited. A total of 3,803 voters in Bansda seat pressed the NOTA button.

In the 2017 assembly elections, the Congress had fielded Anant Kumar Patel as its candidate from this seat. He defeated BJP’s Ganpat Bhai Mahala by 18,000 votes. Here a total of five candidates were in the fray. Apart from these two, the deposits of the other three candidates were forfeited.
